It is the height of mushroom (kep in Thai) hunting season here in
Northern Thailand. Just like in the Huachuca mountains back home in
Arizona, the rainy season is always the best time to hunt “shrooms”. I
took a break from hunting the edible ones to look for Lingzhi (Chinese)
or Reishi (Japanese) as we call it in the USA “experts” call this local
species Ganoderma lucidum. I have been finding quite a few in the higher
elevations in and around the pine forests.
