Pat was one cool young dude. I met him a couple of times south of the border in Mexico and Brazil. I greatly admired his adventurous spirit and followed his adventures online. We corresponded on facebukaki and other social media as well. I was deeply saddened to hear of his demise. I remember when he told me he was heading back to Texas to get his pilots license, then return to Brazil to be a bush pilot. Then out of the blue, a friend online told me Pat had been killed in an accident with his plane. Sad to be sure. Pats hitch hiking trip from Texas to Tierra del fuego then back to brazil is legendary. Anyhoo, RIP Pat, you are not forgotten.
