Yuichiro Miura - the man who skied down Mt. Everest
"When
you crawl into your sleeping bag, each cell of your body begins to sing
very softly and to expand in joy and warmth. Looking at the starlight
coming through the crack of the tent, listening to the trickling sound
of a creek then falling asleep"

A little down home "Hillbilly" fun
I recently went to visit my sister in southern Indiana. I was surprised at how rural it actually is. My brother in law has a gun range set up so Him, my Nephew, and me burned up a few magazines of ammo and sighted in 3 rifles and 3 pistols. It was good old down home "Hillbilly" fun.

Mexico and central America
My good friend " Homie " Matt dropped me off the Arizona/ Mexico border town of Nogales on a cold rainy morning. I traveled down through Mexico by bus to Tapachula, then Guatemala. From there I took a shuttle van to Leon, Nicaragua - 16 hours in a mini van was not a pleasant experience. I hitchhiked to San Juan Del Sur, "Nica" to see my good friend and former wilderness student at his country abode near Merellas beach. After a few days in SJDS I took a shuttle van to Costa Rica, spent the night in the cheapest hotel I could find, then caught a flight to Chicago, then hitched a ride to southern Indiana. Im hoping to go from here back to Asia. This trip has been great so far, except for the excessive amount of hippie backpackers. Check out the pics.
See you on the trail!
